B&W Bw.case PP.428; Case Type 6700; Empty; Orange
B&W Bw.case PP.428; Case Type 6700; Empty; Orange | A hard case for gear in transit
The B&W PP.428 is an empty hard case for camera gear that needs a protective outer layer during transport or storage. It suits photographers who want to pack their own equipment rather than buy a case supplied with a preset loadout. Its practical role is straightforward: help shield gear from knocks, dust and rain in situations where a soft bag may not be enough. The case is orange, so it’s easy to pick out among stored equipment. Since it’s supplied empty, you decide what goes inside; there’s no pre-packed camera setup to work around. This is a sensible format for moving equipment between locations or keeping it stored with a hard case around it. Think of it as protective transport and storage, not as a camera bag designed to organise a complete kit for you.
For transport and storage
Use the case as an outer layer around the equipment you want to protect. For transport, place the gear inside before moving it; for storage, keep the equipment together in the case rather than loose on a shelf. The empty format leaves the choice of contents to you, so it can serve different packing needs over time. It’s best suited to situations where knocks, dust or rain are a concern, while the specific way you pack the contents remains your decision.
Specialist Note
6700 is the case type to identify when you’re asking for this model; in practice, you’re looking at an orange, empty hard case, not a pre-packed camera kit. I’d consider it for carrying equipment between locations or keeping gear protected in storage, especially where bumps, dust or rain are part of the concern. Pack the equipment you want to protect inside, and treat the case as the sturdy outer layer rather than expecting it to organise a kit for you. The useful point is that it arrives empty, so you choose the contents. Just plan your own packing around the gear you intend to carry.
