The B+W ND 0.9 MRC nano MASTER cuts down on the light entering the lens when you're shooting. This feature enables easy use of long shutter speeds and large apertures. This filter also comes handy in preventing overexposure.
An ND filter lends itself to various applications in image capture. It allows shallow depth of field in portraits in bright daylight, create special motion effects with long shutter times, and capture streaming water. The filter mount boasts a brass construction with a matt black finish.
