B&W Type 6600 Black / Foam
B&W Type 6600 Black / Foam | Hard-case protection for gear on the move
Your gear has a more dependable barrier during transport and storage, helping it get through everyday knocks, dust and rain. The B&W Type 6600 Black / Foam is a hard case for camera owners who need to keep equipment protected between locations or put it away with greater peace of mind. Its hard-case format is best suited to situations where a soft bag may not offer enough protection from the conditions around your kit. Use it to carry equipment between home and a work location, or to store gear in a place where dust or rain could be a concern. It’s a practical option when protecting the equipment matters more than having a lightweight bag that’s quick to sling over your shoulder. Pack the contents thoughtfully, and the case gives you a solid outer barrier for the journey or the storage shelf.
Planning what goes inside
Before packing, decide which pieces of gear belong together and arrange them with care. A case is easier to use when you know where its contents are, especially when you need to get equipment out quickly. Keep the items you reach for most in a consistent place, and avoid treating the interior as a space to fill at random.
Specialist Note
First-time hard-case owners can put all their trust in the outer shell and overlook how the contents are positioned; the foam version of the Type 6600 is a prompt to plan that part, too. I’d arrange your equipment deliberately before a journey, rather than dropping it in loose and assuming the case does all the work. The hard-case format makes sense when you’re moving gear through places where knocks, dust or rain are a concern. It suits photographers who transport or store equipment and want a sturdier barrier around it. The black finish keeps the look understated; just remember that a protective case is still only as useful as the way you pack it.
