B+W UV Filter 010 MRC Slim - 62mm
B+W UV Filter 010 MRC Slim - 62mm | Slim UV filtering for a 62 mm lens
The B+W UV Filter 010 MRC Slim combines UV filtering with a slim design, giving you a straightforward filter option in a 62 mm size. It suits photographers whose lens takes a 62 mm filter and who want a UV filter without choosing a bulkier design. The 010 designation identifies the filter type, while MRC and Slim identify this particular version. A UV filter is intended to filter ultraviolet light; it isn’t an exposure-control or polarising filter. That makes this a focused option for photographers who want UV filtering rather than a special visual effect. The slim format may appeal if you prefer a less bulky filter setup, and the 62 mm size makes the fit specific: it’s for a lens with a matching filter size. If those details match your needs, this B+W is a simple, clearly named UV filter to consider.
Specialist Note
62 mm means the key check is the filter size on your lens: it needs to be marked 62 mm for this filter to fit. For outdoor landscape photography, choose it when your aim is UV filtering, then compose as usual; the filter’s job is specific, not to alter exposure or add polarisation. The Slim design is useful if you want a less bulky filter setup on that lens. I’d point this out to someone who wants a dedicated UV filter in this exact size and values a slim-format option. One honest distinction: it won’t replace an ND or polarising filter when those are the effects you need.
