BenQ SW272QN 27IN W 16:9 2560x144 | Flash support for events and portraits

At an indoor event, ambient light can leave faces looking dim; a speedlight flash gives you an extra source of light when that happens. The supplier information identifies the BenQ SW272QN as a speedlight, with events, indoor portraits and fill light in harsh sun as its strongest uses. That makes it relevant to photographers who need to add light in changing situations, rather than relying on available light alone. For an indoor portrait, flash can brighten your subject; outdoors, it can serve as fill when strong sunlight creates deep shadows. Its stated uses are practical and focused: event coverage, portraits indoors, and balancing harsh daylight. The product title also includes screen-style dimensions and a resolution, which don't match the supplier's description of a flash. I've kept the product details below to the supplier's stated flash information rather than treating those title figures as flash specifications.

Specialist Note

For an indoor event, the BenQ SW272QN is described as a speedlight flash, so it can add light where the room's existing light leaves people too dark. I’d consider it for event photography and indoor portraits, where you can use flash to bring more light onto faces; outdoors, the stated fill-light role is useful when harsh sun makes shadows distracting. The supplier information is specific about those situations, which helps set a sensible expectation: this is a flash for adding light, not a general-purpose lighting setup. One important detail before relying on this listing: its title gives monitor-style dimensions and resolution, so the product identity needs clarification.
