BORG 5602 Rear Cap For Lens
BORG 5602 Rear Cap For Lens | Keeps the lens rear covered
Keep the rear of a lens covered when it’s off the camera, ready for storage or transport. The BORG 5602 Rear Cap For Lens is a straightforward cover for that job, helping shield the exposed rear of a lens from dust and accidental contact while it’s put away. It suits photographers who remove or swap lenses and want a simple way to protect the rear end between uses. This is a practical, focused accessory: it doesn’t change how a lens works or add a photographic feature; it gives the uncovered rear a cover. That makes it useful in a camera bag, on a shelf, or whenever a lens is being stored separately. The title identifies it as a BORG rear cap, but doesn’t specify a fitting system, so the product name alone shouldn’t be treated as confirmation that it fits a particular lens. If you know you need the BORG 5602, this is the named part to look for.
Specialist Note
An exposed lens rear is an easy thing to leave unprotected when you take a lens off the camera. The BORG 5602 is specifically a rear cap, so its job is to cover that end while the lens is set aside. I’d use it when packing a lens separately in a camera bag, and when storing one between sessions; put the cover on before the lens goes away, rather than leaving the rear open among other kit. The 5602 name is useful when you’re identifying this particular part. It’s a deliberately simple accessory, and its protection is for the rear of the lens, not the front.
