Caruba Light Stand

Caruba Light Stand - extends to 292cm

The Caruba Light Stand reaches 292cm, giving the Caruba Orb Speedlight Kit a tall support point in a straightforward, freestanding stand. It’s a useful match for owners of that kit who need to place a light higher than a typical tabletop setup. At its full height, the stand suits portrait lighting, group shots and scenes where the light needs to sit above the subject; its 4.5kg maximum load also gives you a clear figure to compare with the equipment you plan to mount. The stand’s height range starts at 100cm, so it can also work at a lower position rather than being reserved for tall setups. That range is the detail to focus on: this is a tall light stand, but it isn’t limited to its maximum extension. The product information identifies it for the Orb Speedlight Kit, so that’s the pairing to keep in mind when choosing it.

Why it is useful

• Low position from 100cm: The minimum height is 100cm, giving you a lower placement option for lighting a seated subject or a setup close to the ground. That makes its working range more useful than the maximum height alone suggests.
• Folds to 86.5cm: Its closed length is 86.5cm, a handy measurement for checking whether it fits your storage space or transport arrangements. It remains a sizeable stand to carry, but the folded length gives you a definite figure to plan around.
• Maximum tube diameter of 3.3cm: The widest tubes measure 3.3cm across. This gives you a concrete size reference for the stand itself, particularly if you’re comparing its dimensions with other equipment in your lighting setup.
• Weighs 1,815g: At just over 1.8kg, the stand has a specified weight you can factor into packing and moving your lighting gear. It’s worth including that figure alongside the folded length when planning transport.
• Supports up to 4.5kg: The stated maximum load is 4.5kg. Compare your mounted light and accessories with this limit before setting up; the capacity is a useful reference for keeping the stand within its stated rating.
