Caruba Offset Extension Arm

Caruba Offset Extension Arm | Extra support for handheld video

Handheld video can feel easier to manage when the camera has extra support. The Caruba Offset Extension Arm is a shoulder rig intended for video makers who want that support while filming by hand. It suits work where you need to keep filming rather than pause to set up a tripod: interviews, event coverage or short moving sequences are practical examples. The rig’s purpose is straightforward: provide extra support for the camera during handheld video work. It’s a focused piece of rig equipment, not a promise of perfectly steady footage; your movement and filming technique still matter. If your priority is keeping a camera in a fixed position, a shoulder rig isn’t the right tool for that job. For handheld filming where the camera needs extra support, this Caruba arm is a relevant addition to your rig.

When it makes sense

Choose this rig when handheld shooting is central to the job and you want extra support while filming. If your work mostly involves fixed compositions, a tripod is the more relevant type of support. The Caruba Offset Extension Arm is specifically aimed at the handheld video use case.
