Caruba Reverse Ring OM-58mm

Caruba Reverse Ring OM-58mm: Reverse-mount a lens for macro

Small subjects take centre stage in macro photographs with the Caruba Reverse Ring OM-58mm, an adapter for mounting an OM lens backwards on a camera. Its OM fitting and 58mm designation identify the camera connection and ring size. Reversing a lens opens up a different way to work with close-up subjects, using the lens’s reversed position to explore macro photography. It’s aimed at OM camera users who want to try close-up work with a lens they already own, rather than add a dedicated macro lens to their kit. Use it to bring out fine details in flowers, or to make textures and small objects the main subject of a frame. The ring has a specific job: it connects the lens to the camera in reverse. There are no controls or settings to manage on the ring itself; its purpose is to change how the lens is mounted.

Mount and macro details

• OM camera fitting: The OM designation identifies the camera-side fitting. That makes the ring relevant to an OM camera setup, rather than a universal adapter.
• 58mm ring size: The 58mm size is part of the product designation. Match that measurement to the lens connection intended for the ring when choosing a lens to reverse-mount.
• Reverse lens mounting: The lens attaches to the camera in the reversed position. This changes the lens arrangement for close-up photography without adding another lens element.
• Made for macro photography: The ring’s purpose is to expand macro possibilities with a reversed lens. It’s a simple, dedicated accessory for trying close-up work with an OM setup.
