Cokin P253 Adapter Ring Cap
Cokin P253 Adapter Ring Cap | Keep your adapter ring covered between uses
Keeping an adapter ring covered between filter setups helps leave your kit tidy and the ring ready for next time. The Cokin P253 Adapter Ring Cap is a filter accessory for covering an adapter ring when you’re not using it. It suits photographers who already have this named Cokin part in their filter kit and want a simple way to cap the ring between sessions or while packing their gear away. Its purpose is straightforward: the cap covers the ring; it isn’t a filter and won’t change the image you make. Use it after removing your filter setup, then take it off when you’re ready to use the ring again. That makes it useful for keeping the ring covered during storage or while switching between setups. The product name identifies it as the P253, so it’s best treated as a specific accessory rather than a general-purpose cap.
Specialist Note
An uncovered adapter ring can be an untidy loose end in a filter kit, especially when you’ve finished with that setup for the day. I’d use this cap to cover the ring before packing it away, then remove it when you’re ready to put the ring back to work. The name tells us exactly what the two parts of its job are: it’s a cap, and it’s for an adapter ring. That makes it a focused accessory for someone who owns the matching P253 part and wants to keep that piece covered between uses. Just remember, it covers the ring; it doesn’t act as a photographic filter.
