Eminent White 5 Meter U/UTP CAT6 Patch Cable w/ RJ45 Connectors

Eminent White 5 Meter U/UTP CAT6 Patch Cable w/ RJ45 Connectors | A simple wired link for a five-metre run

Its five-metre length gives you room to route a wired connection between nearby network devices without choosing a longer cable than you need. This Eminent patch cable suits anyone arranging a desk, home workspace or small equipment area where both ends need an RJ45 connection. The white jacket is easy to spot against darker equipment or surfaces, which can help when you’re tracing a cable later. It uses CAT6 U/UTP cable and has RJ45 connectors. For a straightforward connection between devices with matching ports, that’s the useful detail: the connection type and cable length are clear before you set it in place. Think about the path the cable will take, not just the straight-line distance between the devices; a route around furniture or along a wall can use more length than expected. It’s a simple cable, and its appeal is in those specific, easy-to-check details.

Planning the cable run

Before setting up, consider where the cable will travel and where you want the connected equipment to sit. A neat route along a desk or wall can be easier to manage than leaving extra cable gathered on the floor. The white colour may be more visible on dark surfaces, so it can also make the route easier to follow when you’re identifying connections. If the path between your devices is close to five metres, allow for the turns and any slack you’d like at either end. That gives you a practical way to judge whether this length suits your layout, without relying only on the distance measured in a straight line. The RJ45 ends are intended for equipment with matching RJ45 ports; the cable’s role is to provide the wired link between them.
