Epson Lens - ELPLX02S - UST - EB-PU2000 Series
Epson Lens - ELPLX02S - UST - EB-PU2000 Series | Project from a closer position
When a projector can’t be placed far back from the screen, room layout can become a real constraint. The Epson ELPLX02S is an ultra-short-throw (UST) lens for the EB-PU2000 Series, designed for installations where the projector needs to sit close to the projection surface. That makes it worth considering for meeting rooms, auditoriums and other spaces where there’s limited room behind the audience or few suitable mounting positions. Its main benefit is practical: you can plan a projection setup around a closer projector position instead of relying on a long distance from projector to screen. It’s an installation lens, so it suits people specifying or updating a compatible Epson projection system, rather than someone looking for a general-purpose standalone projector. The room layout still matters; plan the projector and screen positions together before settling on the installation.
Specialist Note
For an EB-PU2000 Series installation where the projector has to sit close to the screen, the ELPLX02S is the lens I’d look at first. Its UST design is the point: it allows a close projector position, which can help when there isn’t space for a rear-of-room mount. The named EB-PU2000 Series fit also gives you a clear system to plan around, rather than treating this as a universal lens. It suits installers and venues working with a fixed screen and tight room geometry. One practical note: decide the screen and projector positions together; ultra-short throw doesn’t remove the need to plan the layout.
