Falcon Eyes Diffuse Cloth For 120cm LHD-B655FS

Falcon Eyes Diffuse Cloth For 120cm LHD-B655FS | A softer look to the light

Without diffusion, light can leave shadows looking more defined. The Falcon Eyes Diffuse Cloth For 120cm LHD-B655FS is a white diffusion cloth named for the 120cm LHD-B655FS. It’s for photographers who want to soften the look of their lighting, whether they’re working on a portrait or arranging a small product scene. Diffusion spreads light, which can make the change from lit areas to shadows look gentler; the result depends on the light source, its position and the subject. This cloth is a lighting accessory, not a light source, so it won’t add illumination to a setup on its own. Its purpose is specific: bring a diffused quality to light in the setup it’s named for. If you’re planning a particular look, bear in mind that diffusion changes the character of the light, not the subject or framing. The honest trade-off is that it won’t give every scene the same result; placement and the rest of the lighting setup matter.

Working with diffusion

Think about the effect you want before choosing to add diffusion. A softer transition between highlights and shadows can suit a natural-looking portrait, while a product setup may call for more controlled contrast so shape and surface details remain clear. Those are general lighting considerations, not guaranteed results from this cloth. Adjusting the light’s position and the distance between the light, diffusion and subject can also change how the scene looks. Take a test frame and judge the light on the subject itself; a preview can make subtle changes in shadow and highlight easier to compare. The cloth is named for the 120cm LHD-B655FS, so its intended context is clear. Beyond that, keep your expectations simple: it’s a diffusion accessory for shaping light, and the final look depends on how you use it.
