Falcon Eyes Honeycomb For Ø180cm FER-OB18HC

Falcon Eyes Honeycomb For Ø180cm FER-OB18HC | Keep light more contained

When a large softbox is giving light to more of the scene than you want, a honeycomb grid is the kind of accessory to consider. This Falcon Eyes model is made for a Ø180cm softbox, giving you a grid option for a setup built around that size. A honeycomb grid is used to keep light more directional, helping limit its spread beyond the area you’re lighting. It’s a specific-size accessory, rather than a general grid to choose by appearance alone, so the 180cm designation is the detail to focus on when selecting it. The supplier lists the colour as black. The model code is FER-OB18HC, useful when you’re matching the product name against a lighting setup or an existing equipment list. Its job is straightforward: it’s a honeycomb for a large softbox, for photographers who want more control over where the light falls.

Choosing this honeycomb

Start with the size printed in the product name: Ø180cm. That makes this the relevant option when your softbox is the 180cm size, not when you’re shopping for a grid without a particular softbox dimension in mind. The category also identifies it as a softbox grid, so it belongs in that part of a lighting kit rather than being a separate light source. A grid is useful when you want to keep illumination more focused; the exact result still depends on how you position and use the light in your scene. There’s no need to read more into the model code than it tells you: FER-OB18HC identifies this particular Falcon Eyes honeycomb. For a shop shelf, studio kit or equipment list, that precise name helps distinguish it from other softbox accessories. One honest point: the listing gives a clear size and colour, so use those details to decide whether it matches the setup you have in mind.
