Freewell 67mm Base Ring Cap For Real Locking VND
Freewell 67mm Base Ring Cap For Real Locking VND | Cover the ring between setups
Between setups, when your Freewell Real Locking VND isn’t on the lens, the base ring is left waiting for its next use. This 67mm base ring cap is made for that part of the system, giving you a simple way to cover it while you pack up or switch your setup. It’s a small accessory, but a handy one if you regularly take the VND off and want the base ring kept together with your filter gear rather than left exposed in your bag. The product name identifies both the 67mm size and the specific Real Locking VND system it’s intended for, so its role is clear: it’s a cap for the base ring, not an ND filter. Keep it with your filter kit and use it whenever the VND is off. That makes it most useful for photographers who change their filter setup during a session or put the system away between shoots.
Specialist Note
This cap gives the Real Locking VND’s base ring a dedicated cover between uses, instead of leaving the ring uncovered in your kit. If you take the VND off to change your setup, put the cap over the 67mm base ring before packing it away; it keeps the ring paired with the system for next time. The 67mm designation is useful when you’re sorting filter accessories, while the Real Locking VND name makes its intended place in your kit specific. I’d recommend it to anyone who removes this VND regularly, especially when moving between setups. One point to keep in mind: this is a cap, so it doesn’t replace the VND filter itself.
