FXLion Nexus V-Mount Battery 14.4V/17.4AH/251WH

FXLion Nexus V-Mount Battery 14.4V/17.4AH/251WH | A clear capacity for power planning

When a production setup needs a V-mount battery, it helps to have the capacity figures right there before you plan a shoot. The FXLion Nexus is a 14.4V battery rated at 17.4Ah and 251Wh. Those numbers make it relevant to crews choosing a battery for equipment designed to use a V-mount power source, and to anyone comparing capacity for a planned setup. Its clearest use is supplying power within that V-mount setup; the figures give you a concrete basis for planning, rather than a promised runtime. Actual operating time depends on the equipment being powered and how it’s used, so there’s no honest way to turn the capacity alone into a number of hours. If you already know the power demands of your setup, the 251Wh rating is the most useful figure to weigh. It’s a straightforward battery specification, with the key numbers in its name.

Putting the capacity in context

For a working kit, battery choice is about matching a known power requirement to a suitable source. Start with the equipment’s V-mount requirement, then consider the capacity you need for the length and pace of your work. The Nexus gives you a stated energy capacity to use in that decision. It doesn’t, by itself, tell you how long a particular camera or accessory will run; that depends on the power draw of the connected equipment. That’s an important distinction when planning a shoot. A capacity figure can help you compare options, but it can’t replace the specific runtime information for your own setup. The useful part here is having the voltage, amp-hour rating and watt-hour rating together, so you can assess the battery against your requirements.
