Godox Bi Colour LED Video Light ML40BI

Godox Bi Colour LED Video Light ML40BI | Bi-colour light for video work

For video where the light’s colour needs to suit the scene, a bi-colour LED can help create a more considered look than simply lighting everything the same way. The Godox Bi Colour LED Video Light ML40BI is a continuous video light, with its bi-colour designation pointing to two colour options. It’s intended for people making video who want to work with light while recording, rather than relying only on light added later in editing. That could mean a talking-head shot, a small product scene or another setup where the appearance of the light matters. The name gives you the essentials: Godox, LED, bi-colour and video use. There’s no output figure or other performance detail to guide a more technical comparison, so I’d treat this as a straightforward option to consider when you’re looking specifically for a bi-colour LED video light. Its appeal is the combination of continuous lighting and a choice of colour, in a product clearly named for video.

Where bi-colour is useful

Colour affects how a scene feels, and it can also make a light easier to work into a shot with other light sources. With a bi-colour light, you have two colour options to consider as you set up; the product name doesn’t give a temperature range, so it’s best not to assume a particular set of numbers. For a simple recording setup, start by deciding what you want the light to do in the frame, then choose the colour option that suits the look you’re after. That keeps the decision practical: this is a continuous light for video, and its named distinction is bi-colour. If you’re comparing lights on brightness, dimensions or power details, those figures will matter too, but they aren’t part of the information available here. A useful, honest starting point is the type of light and the two-colour designation.
