GREEN.L 37mm HMC ND Fader Variable | Adjust light without changing filters

The defining choice is a variable ND filter: instead of using one fixed level of light reduction, you can adjust the effect to suit the scene. That makes it handy when light changes and you want to keep your exposure settings consistent. This GREEN.L filter is for photographers and videographers whose lens has a 37mm filter thread, and it’s particularly useful when you want more control over shutter speed or aperture in bright conditions. For video, reducing incoming light can help you keep a chosen shutter speed; for stills, it can let you use a slower shutter to show movement. The HMC designation is part of this model’s name. It’s a straightforward option when adjustable ND is more useful to you than carrying several filters with different fixed strengths, provided your lens takes this size.

Specialist Note

Exposure adjustment happens at the filter, so you can tune the light reduction as the scene changes rather than reaching for another fixed-strength filter. I’d suggest it to someone filming outdoors who wants to keep a chosen shutter speed while adjusting exposure, or to a stills photographer aiming for motion blur: set the camera exposure, then adjust the variable ND effect until the result suits the scene. The 37mm size matters at the counter, too; your lens needs a matching 37mm filter thread. That’s the key limitation of this particular filter, so it’s a focused solution for the right lens rather than a one-size-fits-all accessory.
