GREEN.L MC-CPL 49mm
GREEN.L MC-CPL 49mm | Control reflections and deepen skies
The GREEN.L MC-CPL 49mm is a circular polarising filter in a specific 49mm size, so its appeal is straightforward: it gives you polarising control on a lens with a matching filter thread. It suits photographers who want to manage glare and reflections while keeping their camera setup simple. Turn the filter as you look through the viewfinder or at the screen, and you can adjust the polarising effect to suit the scene. This is especially useful when photographing reflective surfaces such as glass or water, or when you want more definition in a blue sky. The result depends on the light and your shooting angle, so it’s a hands-on tool rather than an automatic effect. If you know your lens takes 49mm filters and want to shape reflections in camera, this GREEN.L gives you a direct way to do that without relying on editing afterwards.
Specialist Note
49mm is the filter diameter, so this is the one to consider for a lens with a 49mm filter thread. The CPL designation tells you it’s a circular polariser; in use, you rotate it to vary how strongly it cuts reflections. For water or shop-window glass, turn it while watching the image and stop when distracting glare is reduced but the scene still looks natural. For a blue sky, adjust the filter while framing, especially when the sky is at an angle to the sun. It suits someone who wants to make that adjustment while shooting. One practical point: the effect changes with your position and the light, so it won’t look equally strong in every direction.
