GREEN.L MC-UV 72mm | A straightforward UV filter for a matching lens

The defining choice is the 72mm diameter: this filter is made for a lens with a matching filter thread, rather than being a one-size-fits-all accessory. The GREEN.L MC-UV is a UV filter, so its purpose is to filter ultraviolet light as it enters the lens. It suits photographers who want that particular filter type in the size their lens takes, whether they’re setting up for outdoor photography or adding a filter to a familiar lens. Before buying, read the filter-size marking on the lens itself; a 72mm filter won’t fit a lens with a different thread size. UV filters are a considered, simple addition, not a fix for every lighting condition. If your main aim is a particular look or effect, make sure a UV filter is the effect you want. This is a specific tool for a specific thread size, with a clear role and no need to guess at a camera-system fit.

Specialist Note

On a bright morning, you’re setting up for an outdoor landscape and want a UV filter that matches your lens. This GREEN.L is the 72mm version, so the practical first step is to match that number to the filter-size marking on the lens; the diameter is what determines the fit. Its UV designation tells you the job it’s intended to do: filter ultraviolet light. I’d consider it for someone who specifically wants a UV filter for a compatible lens, rather than someone choosing a filter for an effect it isn’t meant to create. Keep expectations grounded: the product information gives us its type and size, not a basis for promises about image changes or construction.
