H&Y HD EVO-Series Streak Transparent Filter Kit 72mm
H&Y HD EVO-Series Streak Transparent Filter Kit 72mm | Add streaks to bright points of light
A streetlamp or stage light can look like an ordinary bright point when you want it to shape the image. The H&Y HD EVO-Series Streak Transparent Filter Kit 72mm is a creative filter for adding a streak effect to scenes with visible light sources. It’s suited to photographers who want that treatment while composing, rather than creating it later in editing. Think night streets, illuminated signs or live-event lighting, where the lights themselves are part of the picture. The filter is 72mm, so match that size to the filter thread on your lens before you head out. Its transparent streak design is aimed at a particular visual effect, not general-purpose protection; it makes most sense when you actively want light to take on a streaked appearance. With a suitable scene in front of you, you can frame the light as a deliberate feature rather than letting it sit unnoticed in the background.
Specialist Note
Point lights can feel a little plain when you want them to carry more visual weight; this filter gives you a way to work with them in-camera. The 72mm size makes the first check simple: your lens needs a matching 72mm filter thread. Its transparent streak design is for shaping the appearance of lights, so I’d use it on a night street with a lamp or sign in the composition, or frame stage lighting as part of a performance scene. Keep the light source clearly in view and compose around the resulting streak. It’s a specialised look, so it suits photographers who want that effect; without strong lights in the scene, there’s little for it to emphasise.
