H&Y Magnetic Lens Cap 77mm For Magnetic Filters | Cover your filter between uses

After using a magnetic filter, it’s handy to have a cover ready when you pack your camera away or pause between shots. The H&Y Magnetic Lens Cap 77mm For Magnetic Filters is made for covering magnetic filters, with a 77mm size. Its purpose is simple: give photographers using a magnetic filter setup a cap for the filter when it isn’t in use. That makes it relevant if you want to keep your filter in place while covering it, rather than treat the cap as a general lens accessory. The important match is the filter setup: this cap is intended for magnetic filters, and its stated size is 77mm. It’s a focused accessory, so it makes most sense in a kit already built around magnetic filters of that size. If that describes your gear, it gives you a dedicated way to cover the filter during storage or a break in shooting.

Where it belongs

Think of it as part of the magnetic-filter setup, rather than a spare cap for every lens in your bag. Keep it with the filter you use it for, so it’s on hand when you finish shooting or put your camera away. Its usefulness depends on having the matching 77mm magnetic-filter setup.

Specialist Note

The annoyance this removes is having a magnetic filter fitted but no dedicated cover ready when you stop shooting. This cap is sized at 77mm, so it’s intended for that size of magnetic-filter setup; keep that match in mind when choosing where it belongs in your kit. I’d use it when packing the filter away, or during a longer pause when you want the filter covered rather than left exposed. It’s a straightforward accessory for photographers who already use magnetic filters. The honest limit is that it’s specific to magnetic filters and its stated size, not a general-purpose cap.
