H&Y MRC Protection Filter 43mm
H&Y MRC Protection Filter 43mm | Adds a protective layer to your lens
Your lens’s front element has a layer of protection between it and everyday handling with the H&Y MRC Protection Filter 43mm fitted. It’s a UV filter in a 43mm size, intended for photographers who want a filter in place as a barrier at the front of their lens. The key practical point is fit: this size suits a lens with a matching 43mm filter thread. Once fitted, the filter gives you a surface to wipe if dust or fingerprints collect during a day out, rather than reaching straight for the lens’s front glass. It’s a straightforward option for keeping on a lens you use regularly, at home or outdoors. The name identifies it as an MRC protection filter; there’s no need to treat it as a special-effects filter or expect it to change the character of your pictures.
Specialist Note
43 mm is the filter size, so this one is for a lens with a matching 43mm filter thread; that’s the detail I’d use to make the fit decision. Its UV-filter designation and protection purpose make it suited to everyday use when you’d rather have a filter surface at the front of the lens. For a lens you carry often, I’d leave it fitted and wipe the filter gently if dust or fingerprints land on it. It’s a focused bit of protection, not a cover for the rest of your camera, so handle the lens with normal care too.
