Hahnemühle DFA Torchon 285GSM 43.2cmx12m

Hahnemühle DFA Torchon 285GSM 43.2cmx12m | A long format for planned print runs

Instead of planning every print around a separate sheet, this Hahnemühle DFA Torchon comes in a long format you can plan to cut or use as needed. It’s printer paper named Torchon, with a weight of 285 gsm and dimensions of 43.2 cm by 12 m. That makes it a practical option to consider when your work needs paper in a continuous length rather than a stack of pre-cut sheets. The key decision is whether its width suits the prints you have in mind; the 12 m length gives you room to plan several shorter pieces from the same supply. I’d start by measuring the intended print area and allowing for any trimming your process requires. The product name gives you the essentials to compare: Torchon, 285 gsm, and a generous length in a defined width.

Choosing the format

A paper roll can make sense when you want to decide the length of each piece yourself, rather than being limited to one sheet size. With this product, the stated width gives you a clear boundary for that planning, while the overall length lets you work out how much paper a project may use. That’s especially helpful when you’re preparing a sequence of prints or have varying lengths in mind. The honest caveat is that the dimensions alone don’t tell you whether this paper suits a particular printer or print process, so treat the measurements as the starting point for your decision, not a compatibility promise. If you already know the print area you need, compare it with the stated width first, then consider how much length your planned output will take. It’s a straightforward way to judge whether this format fits the job before you commit to a roll-length supply.
