Hahnemühle Platinum Rag 20x24'' 25 Sheets Uncoated

Hahnemühle Platinum Rag 20x24'' 25 Sheets Uncoated | Uncoated paper for considered prints

Choosing paper by its surface is different from simply topping up a printer drawer. Hahnemühle Platinum Rag is an uncoated printer paper in a 20 x 24-inch format, supplied as 25 sheets. It suits photographers and printmakers with a project that calls for an uncoated sheet at this scale, and who want the named Platinum Rag paper rather than an unspecified refill. Its strongest fit is a print workflow where the paper choice is deliberate: you know the dimensions you need and are seeking an uncoated surface. That makes it a specific pick, not a catch-all option for every print job. If the format and surface match your plan, this pack gives you a clearly identified paper to work with.

Before buying paper for a project, compare the finished image area with the sheet you intend to use. Leave room in your plan for any borders or trimming you want; those are choices for your layout, not properties of the paper. It also helps to decide how many finished prints you expect, so you can judge the pack quantity against the work ahead. A little planning can prevent a mismatch between the paper you chose and the print you actually want to make.

Uncoated is the defining surface information here, so choose it because that’s what your process calls for—not on assumptions about finish, tonal response or printer behaviour. For a considered print run, test one image on the intended paper and assess the result before proceeding with the rest of your work. It’s a straightforward way to make a paper decision based on your own print, rather than guesswork.
