Hama Drijfgreep 2IN1 Black
Hama Drijfgreep 2IN1 Black | A floating grip for waterside camera use
At the water’s edge, a hand-held camera grip can feel more reassuring than carrying your camera by its strap. The Hama Drijfgreep 2IN1 Black is a floating grip: its purpose is to give you a handhold for your camera in places where water is close by. The 2-in-1 name is part of the product’s identity, though it doesn’t spell out the two functions, so I wouldn’t assume a particular setup from that label alone. Its role is clear enough: it’s a grip to hold while using a camera, with a floating design intended for waterside situations. That makes it relevant for casual photos or video by a pool, lake or boat, where keeping hold of your camera matters. The black colour is a simple, understated finish. If you’re after a hand-held accessory for use near water, rather than a carrying strap for walking around, this Hama grip is the more pertinent option.
For use near the water
Think of this as a purpose-specific way to hold your camera, not a general carrying solution. Keep the grip in your hand while framing a waterside photo or recording a short clip, and the floating design is there for the setting it’s made for. The 2-in-1 name may sound like a promise of two different modes, but without more detail it’s best to treat it simply as the product name. One practical point: a floating grip doesn’t, by itself, establish that every camera attached to it will float, so don’t rely on that assumption around water.
Specialist Note
The floating-grip design changes the sort of place I’d reach for this Hama: it makes sense beside water, rather than as a strap for carrying a camera on a long walk. I’d hold it while taking a photo from a poolside or filming from a boat, keeping the camera in hand as I frame the shot. The “2IN1” name is another specific detail, but it doesn’t tell us what the two functions are, so I wouldn’t buy it expecting a particular conversion or attachment. It suits someone who wants a dedicated handhold for waterside camera use. Just remember, the grip’s floating design alone can’t promise that an attached camera will float too.
