Hama Filter PL Circulair 52mm 72552
Hama Filter PL Circulair 52mm 72552 | Reduce reflections outdoors
Cut distracting reflections from water and glass, and bring more colour into a bright landscape with the Hama Filter PL Circulair 52mm 72552. It’s a circular polarising filter with a 52 mm size, made for photographers whose lens takes a matching filter. A polariser can deepen a blue sky and help foliage look richer by reducing reflected light; the effect changes as you adjust the filter and your position relative to the light. That makes it especially useful for landscapes, waterside views and scenes with shop windows in the frame. Look through the viewfinder or at the screen as you turn the filter, and stop when the reflection or sky looks right to you. The result is adjustable rather than automatic, so it rewards a little attention to your angle. It won’t remove every reflection, but it gives you a way to manage many of the bright, distracting ones while you compose.
Specialist Note
The narrow 52 mm rim makes this a straightforward size to match: look for a lens marked with the same filter diameter. The PL Circulair designation is the key detail for use; as you rotate the filter, the polarising effect changes, so you can judge the result in the frame instead of guessing. I’d suggest it to someone who photographs lakes, wet streets or landscapes with open sky. For a lake, turn the filter slowly while watching the reflected surface; for a stronger sky effect, try composing with the sun off to one side. The effect depends on the light and your angle, so it won’t clear every pane of glass or reflection.
