Hama Lens Hood ST For Standard Lenses Collapsible 67 mm
Hama Lens Hood ST For Standard Lenses Collapsible 67 mm | Help reduce stray light
Bright light coming in from the side can cause unwanted flare and lower contrast in a photo. The Hama Lens Hood ST helps shade the front of a standard lens, making it a practical option for outdoor scenes where light is catching the lens from outside the frame. It’s designed for photographers who want a straightforward way to manage stray light without adding a fixed, bulky hood to their kit. The collapsible design makes it easier to stow when you’re not using it, so it can be on hand for a walk or a day out with your camera. Its 67 mm size is intended for lenses of that size, and the black finish keeps the look simple. This hood is best used to block light approaching from the side; it can’t remove flare caused by a light source directly in the frame.
Specialist Note
This isn’t a one-size-fits-every-lens accessory, but for a standard lens in the 67 mm size, it’s a sensible way to keep stray light in check. I’d use it when photographing a building or street scene with bright sky just outside the frame: turn your composition so that light stays out of the picture, and the hood can help shade the lens. The collapsible construction is handy when you want to pack it away between shots rather than leave a rigid hood in place. It’s a focused, practical buy; it won’t solve flare from a sun or lamp that’s actually in the frame.
