Hama Lens Hood ST For Standard Lenses Collapsible 72 mm
Hama Lens Hood ST For Standard Lenses Collapsible 72 mm | Keep stray light at bay
At an outdoor table, sunlight can catch the front of your lens from just outside the frame and leave a hazy look over the picture. The Hama Lens Hood ST is made for standard lenses and helps shade the lens from that stray light, which can reduce flare and help retain contrast. It’s a practical accessory for photographers working outside, near bright windows or under other strong light. The collapsible design can be folded down when the hood isn’t needed, making it easier to put away between shots. Use it when light is striking the lens from the side; it won’t remove every flare, especially when a bright source is actually in the frame. Finished in black, this Hama hood is a straightforward option for standard-lens owners who want a compact way to manage unwanted light.
Specialist Note
Side light washing over the front of a lens can soften contrast before you notice what caused it. If your standard lens is the 72 mm size, this Hama hood gives you a direct way to shade it: keep the hood open when shooting toward a bright window or in hard daylight, then collapse it when you’re packing up. That makes sense for photographers who want a hood on hand without leaving it extended between pictures. One limitation to keep in mind: a hood can’t shade a light source that sits within your composition, so it works best when the bright light is coming from outside the frame.
