Hama Network Cable CAT-5E F/UTP Afgeschermd 15.00 M

Hama CAT-5e F/UTP Shielded Network Cable 15 m | Room for a longer cable run

What sets this Hama cable apart is its 15-metre length: it gives you more reach when network equipment isn’t close to the connection point. It’s for anyone who needs a wired network connection across a room or along a longer route, rather than a short lead tucked behind a desk. The cable is CAT-5E and uses a shielded F/UTP construction, details worth having to hand when you’re choosing a cable for a particular setup. Its grey finish is a practical, understated fit for visible runs where a bright cable would draw the eye. The length is the main reason to choose this one; for a very short connection, it may simply leave you with cable to manage. If your planned route needs the extra reach, though, a single 15-metre cable keeps the choice straightforward.

Plan the route before you connect

Measure the path the cable will actually take, rather than the straight-line distance between the two ends. Going around furniture or along a wall can use more length than you expect, and a little slack makes it easier to position the cable neatly. At 15 metres, this model is intended for a longer run than a compact patch lead, so it’s sensible to think about where the spare length will sit. The grey colour may blend in with some surroundings, but it won’t disappear against every wall or floor. One small practical point: avoid buying extra length just because it sounds reassuring; a cable that’s much longer than your route can take more effort to keep tidy. If your measurements call for a longer network cable, this Hama model gives you that reach in one lead.
