Hama Sat-Aansluitkabel F-Plug - F-Plug 7.5 M 90 DB

Hama Satellite Connection Cable F-Plug to F-Plug 7.5 m 90 dB | A direct link for satellite connections

Without a cable connecting the two F connections, a satellite setup has no link between them. This Hama satellite connection cable gives you that link, with an F-plug at each end. At 7.5 metres, it gives you some room to route the cable between equipment rather than needing the connections to sit right beside one another. It’s white, so it may blend more easily with a light wall or cabinet than a dark cable would. The product name also includes a 90 dB marking; I’ve kept that as supplied rather than reading more into what it represents. This is a straightforward option for someone who needs an F-plug-to-F-plug cable for a satellite connection. It’s especially useful when the two connection points are separated by a longer run, and the length is the practical detail to plan around.

Planning the cable run

Before routing it, take a moment to follow the path the cable needs to take, including any turns around furniture or along a wall. The distance between the two connection points isn’t always the same as the length of the route, so a quick measurement can help you judge whether 7.5 metres will suit your setup. Keep the path in mind when positioning the connected equipment, too: this cable is for a connection with F-plug ends, so the relevant connection points need to accept those plugs. That’s the useful check to make when choosing this particular cable. If the route is direct and the F connections are in place, the job is simple: connect one end at each side and arrange the cable along your chosen path. Its white colour is a small but practical consideration if the cable will be visible. For a neat result, decide where it will run before connecting everything, rather than leaving the cable to dictate where your equipment sits.
