Hama Tripod Tar DUO165 - Ball
Hama Tripod Tar DUO165 - Ball | Steady support for stills and video
As daylight fades over a landscape, a tripod gives you the support to keep the camera still for a longer exposure. The Hama Tripod Tar DUO165 - Ball is a tripod for photographers and videographers who want a steadier setup, particularly for landscapes, night scenes and astro photography. It also suits steady video, where a settled camera helps keep the framing controlled. For long exposures, take time to compose and secure the camera before opening the shutter; the support is there to help you avoid movement during the exposure. Night and astro work benefit from the same basic approach: choose your framing carefully and keep the camera still while it records. This is a straightforward option to consider if those kinds of shots are part of your regular photography. Its ball-head design is especially relevant if you want to adjust the camera’s framing without working with a more involved head.
Specialist Note
The ball head is the detail to pay attention to here: it gives you a direct way to change the camera’s angle as you settle on a composition. I’d consider this Tar DUO165 for landscape work, where you can frame the scene, secure the setup and make a long exposure without holding the camera. It also makes sense for night and astro photography, when keeping the camera still matters during the exposure. For steady video, it can support a fixed composition; if your shots depend on smooth moving pans, a ball head may not be the handling style you want. It suits photographers who value simple framing adjustments over specialised video movement.
