Hama USB-Cable USB-A-Plug - USB-C-Plug USB 3.2 GEN1 5 GBIT/s 3 M | More reach for your USB-C connection

A short cable can leave your device awkwardly close to a USB-A port. This 3-metre Hama cable gives you more room, with a USB-A plug at one end and a USB-C plug at the other. It’s for connecting across those two connector types, and its USB 3.2 Gen 1 specification lists a data rate of 5 Gbit/s. That makes it a straightforward option when you need this particular plug combination and want a longer cable than a short lead provides.

The extra length is the practical point here. You can place the connected device farther from the USB-A port, which can make a difference when the port isn’t right beside where you want to use it. There’s no need to guess which end goes where: the USB-A plug connects to the USB-A port, and the USB-C plug to the USB-C port. Do keep the connector shape in mind when choosing a cable; this one has a specific USB-A-to-USB-C arrangement, rather than matching every port combination.

Its stated 5 Gbit/s data rate is a useful detail if transfer speed matters to your setup. That figure describes the cable’s USB 3.2 Gen 1 rating; the actual result can depend on the connected equipment. In short, this is a simple, longer cable for a USB-A port and a USB-C connection. The finish is black, so it’s easy to keep with other dark cables.
