Hama Verbindingskabel HDMI-Plug - DVI/D-Plug 1.5 M
Hama Verbindingskabel HDMI-Plug - DVI/D-Plug 1.5 M | Connect devices with different ports
Connect a device with an HDMI port to a display with a DVI/D port and put its picture on screen. The Hama Verbindingskabel HDMI-Plug - DVI/D-Plug 1.5 M has an HDMI plug at one end and a DVI/D plug at the other, giving you a direct cable link between those connections. It suits a setup where the devices already have these matching ports and you need a cable to join them. The 1.5-metre length gives you some room to position the connected equipment without choosing a long run of cable. Its job is a specific one: bridge HDMI and DVI/D connections. That makes it a practical option when those are the ports available on your source and display. Check the layout of your setup, too; a cable can only span the space its length allows.
Choosing the right cable for your setup
The key detail is the connector at each end. Before choosing this cable, look at the ports on the two devices you want to link: one needs to match the HDMI plug, and the other needs to match the DVI/D plug. Matching those connections is the starting point for getting a picture from one device to the other. The cable won’t change the ports on either device, so it’s most useful when your equipment already has the required connections.
At 1.5 metres, this cable is intended for a fairly close connection rather than a long-distance run around a room. Measure the route between your devices if they won’t sit close together; a little planning can save you from finding the cable falls short once everything is in place. The black finish keeps the cable visually discreet among other dark cables and equipment. There’s no complicated pitch here: it’s a cable for a particular connector combination, with a stated length that helps you judge whether it suits your setup.
