Iiyama 32IW LCD Full HD IPS | A spacious screen for everyday work

The defining combination here is a 32-inch screen, Full HD resolution and an IPS panel: plenty of physical screen area for everyday computer use, without moving up to a higher-resolution display. It suits a home office, study space or shared desk where you want documents, web pages and video to be easy to view on one large screen. Full HD is a practical match for general tasks and video viewing, while IPS is a sensible panel type when you want a clear picture from more than one viewing position. For photographers, it can serve for browsing images and checking an edit at a glance, but it isn’t the specification I’d choose for close inspection of fine detail. The useful distinction is simple: you get room to view content at a generous size, while the resolution keeps expectations grounded for detailed work.

Specialist Note

At 32 inches, this gives you a large viewing area, but Full HD spreads its pixels across that space, so fine text and image detail won’t look as dense as they do on a higher-resolution screen. I’d consider it for office documents, browsing or watching video, where the generous screen area is more useful than pixel-level detail. The IPS panel also makes it a reasonable fit for a desk where you sometimes view the screen from off-centre; that’s handy when sharing a page with someone beside you. For photography, it’s fine for sorting pictures and checking an overall edit, but I wouldn’t rely on it for judging subtle detail in a close crop. That’s the honest trade-off with this combination.
