Iiyama 65IW LCD 4K UHD IPS 800 CD/M | Bright, detailed 4K viewing

Without a 4K display, fine image detail can be harder to show clearly to a group. The Iiyama 65IW is an LCD monitor with a 4K UHD resolution, an IPS panel and a stated brightness of 800 cd/m². It suits people who need to present or review detailed visual material, from photographers sharing images to teams looking at charts and presentations. Its strongest case is showing crisp 4K content on a bright screen, rather than serving as an all-in-one production system: you’ll need an appropriate source for the material you want to display. The IPS panel makes it a sensible option for shared viewing, while the high stated brightness gives you room to adapt the display to brighter surroundings. For close inspection of images, the extra resolution is useful; for general text and presentations, it gives you a clear, detailed canvas.

Specialist Note

The honest limit is that brightness can’t cancel reflections from a badly placed light source; this screen still needs a sensible position. Its 4K UHD resolution is the reason I’d consider it for reviewing fine image detail or presenting high-resolution material: use a suitable source and view the image at its native detail. The IPS panel is useful when several people need to look at the screen from different positions, rather than gathering directly in front of it. With 800 cd/m² available, it’s also suited to brighter shared spaces, though I’d still manage room lighting for comfortable viewing. I’d point image-making teams and presentation-led workplaces towards it for those specific jobs.
