Ilford Fine Art Smooth Pearl 24" - 61cm X 15m

Ilford Fine Art Smooth Pearl 24" - 61cm X 15m | A wide roll for considered print runs

The defining choice is the 24-inch roll format: it gives printmakers a broad, continuous length of Ilford Fine Art Smooth Pearl paper to work with. This is photo paper for people making prints, especially those who want a fine-art named paper in a smooth pearl finish rather than a stack of sheets. The title gives a useful sense of its intended appeal, but doesn’t tell us how the surface behaves with a particular image or printer, so I wouldn’t promise a particular look from the name alone. At 61cm wide and 15m long, it suits a workflow where roll media is part of the plan and print dimensions matter. If you’re choosing between paper formats, start with the width your work needs, then consider how much length you’ll use. That’s the practical case for this size.

Planning around the roll

A 15m length gives you room to plan a group of prints from the same roll, rather than buying paper one sheet at a time. The 61cm width is the key measurement when you’re deciding how your intended print sizes will fit; the paper’s name also identifies the surface as Smooth Pearl. Those details make it easier to compare this product with other paper formats, without assuming a specific printer setup or print result. Think about the work you actually make: if your print layout calls for a width beyond 61cm, this isn’t the size to choose. If that width fits, the roll format gives you a clear starting point for planning your paper use. It’s a straightforward product title, with the useful details—finish, width and length—right up front.
