Ilford Fine Art Smooth Pearl 50" - 127cm X 15m

Ilford Fine Art Smooth Pearl 50" - 127cm X 15m | Wide-format paper in a clearly sized roll

Choosing photo paper for a wide print job gets harder when the surface name and roll dimensions aren’t easy to compare. Ilford Fine Art Smooth Pearl gives you both in the product name: a Smooth Pearl surface description and a 50-inch-wide roll that’s 15 metres long. It’s for photographers and print studios looking for photo paper in a wide format, and for anyone comparing roll sizes before planning a print job. The width is shown in inches and centimetres, which makes it easier to match the listing to measurements you already use. The useful distinction here is simple: this is a roll, not a pack of pre-cut sheets. Think about the print widths and lengths you need, then decide whether this format fits the work you have in mind. No guesswork about the basic dimensions.

Planning around the roll format

For a roll purchase, it helps to plan from the finished print rather than from the paper listing alone. Note the width of the prints you expect to make, how many you’ll need, and how much paper each job is likely to use. That gives you a practical way to judge the stated roll dimensions against your own workload. If you’re comparing paper listings, keep the surface name alongside the measurements: “Fine Art Smooth Pearl” is the product’s named description, while the size identifies the format. Those details make this listing straightforward to assess for a specific project, though the right choice depends on the print sizes and workflow you have in mind. It’s a focused option to consider when you’re shopping for Ilford photo paper in a wide roll format.
