Ilford FineArt Smooth 200GSM 36" 91.4cmx15m 1ROLL

Ilford FineArt Smooth 200GSM 36" 91.4cmx15m 1ROLL | A smooth roll for fine-art prints

For fine-art photographs where you want to plan the print around the image, rather than a fixed sheet size, this Ilford FineArt Smooth paper comes as a 36-inch (91.4 cm) wide roll. It’s 200gsm, with 15 metres on a single roll. The name tells you what matters here: it’s Ilford FineArt paper with a smooth surface, in a wide roll format. That makes it a considered option for photographers preparing larger prints or a run of prints from their own images. You can work from the image dimensions and layout you have in mind, instead of being limited to one sheet format. The honest point is that a paper name alone can’t tell you how it will render a particular photograph, so the best results depend on the image and your print workflow.

A roll is especially practical when you want room to choose print lengths for yourself. The 36-inch width gives you a broad working area, while the 15-metre roll gives you paper to use across multiple print jobs. That can suit a mix of image proportions: you can plan each print around the photograph, rather than treating every image as the same shape. It also gives you a way to approach a longer print without joining separate sheets. Consider the finished image dimensions and the space available for handling and storing a roll before you start a project.

The smooth surface is the defining detail in this version of Ilford FineArt. It’s a straightforward direction for photographers who prefer a smooth paper surface for their print presentation, rather than choosing a paper by weight or roll size alone. If you’re deciding between paper options, think about the character you want the finished print to have and how it will be viewed. This product gives you a named surface finish, a substantial stated paper weight and a generous roll length; the choice of image and print dimensions remains yours.
