Ilford GP FineArt Canvas Galicia 152.4 X 15m

Ilford GP FineArt Canvas Galicia 152.4 X 15m | A wide roll for canvas prints

Where a print job might usually start with sheet paper, this Ilford GP FineArt Canvas Galicia is a canvas roll for work planned on canvas. It suits printmakers and studios looking for canvas stock in a long roll, especially when the intended work needs more width than a small sheet can offer. The roll measures 152.4 cm by 15 m, giving you a clear format to plan around before you start a print run. Its name places it in Ilford’s GP FineArt Canvas Galicia range; beyond that, I wouldn’t assume a particular surface character or printing result from the name alone. The most useful reason to consider it is straightforward: you’re choosing a canvas format, and you can judge the roll against the dimensions of the work you have in mind.

Planning around the roll

Think first about the size and number of prints you’re preparing. The stated dimensions give you the roll’s width and overall length, so you can compare them with your planned output and estimate how much material a run may call for. That’s more useful than choosing by product name alone. If your project is built around canvas, this listing gives you a specific roll size to work from; if it’s based on sheet media, the format is different. I’d keep the decision grounded in those practical points rather than expect unlisted details about texture, coating or printer fit. The title identifies this as Ilford GP FineArt Canvas Galicia, in a 152.4 cm by 15 m roll. For a studio planning canvas work, that’s the key information to weigh against the job.
