Ilford Metallic Gloss 260GSM 5x7" 127x178mm 100SHEETS

Ilford Metallic Gloss 260GSM 5x7" 127x178mm 100SHEETS | Metallic-finish prints in a handy format

The defining choice here is a metallic-gloss surface: it gives this Ilford photo paper a distinct finish, rather than making size the only consideration. Each sheet measures 5x7 inches, or 127x178mm, and the paper is rated at 260gsm. That combination suits photographers who want to make prints in a compact, familiar format on heavier paper with a metallic gloss finish. The pack contains 100 sheets, so there’s room for a run of prints or for keeping a consistent paper choice on hand for projects. The honest point to consider is that the finish is a specific look, not a neutral option for every image or presentation. Choose it when that surface is part of what you want from the print. The dimensions are clearly stated in both inches and millimetres, which makes it easier to plan around the finished print size.

At 5x7 inches, the format gives you a defined print area to compose for. If you’re preparing images in advance, it’s worth considering the crop against that shape before printing; a photograph framed differently may need adjustment to fit the chosen dimensions. The 260gsm figure also gives a concrete basis for comparing paper weight when you’re deciding what feel you want from a print. This pack is aimed at making photo prints, rather than providing a range of sizes or finishes in one purchase. With 100 sheets of the same paper, you can keep the material consistent across a set. For a photographer making a small collection, selecting a paper with a named finish and a fixed format helps keep the paper choice deliberate. It’s a straightforward product to assess: metallic gloss, 5x7-inch sheets, and a 100-sheet pack. Those are the details to weigh against the image and the way you intend to present it.
