Ilford MGFB1K Classic 17.8x24cm 25V | Choose the format before you print

When you’re selecting photo paper for a print you already have in mind, the size on the pack is a practical place to start. This is Ilford MGFB1K Classic photo paper, in a 17.8 x 24 cm format. It suits photographers who want to choose paper by a specific named product and sheet size, rather than browsing a broad, unspecified option. The title also includes “25V”; I’ve kept that marking as given, without assigning it a meaning. The listed colour is black. That’s the confirmed colour detail for this item, so it’s worth paying attention to if colour is part of how you’re sorting or selecting your paper. In short, this listing gives you a clear product name, a concrete size and a colour. It’s a straightforward option to consider when those details match the print you’re planning.

About this paper

Paper choice starts with the finished print you want to make. A stated sheet size helps you decide whether this format is the one you’re looking for, while the product name helps distinguish it from other Ilford papers. Those details are useful at the point of selection; they don’t need to be dressed up as claims about how a print will look. If you’re comparing items, use the full name and dimensions together so you’re comparing like with like. The “25V” marking is also part of the product title and is reproduced as written here.

There’s no need to guess from the name when the details you can rely on are already clear. Check that the format suits the print you have in mind, and use the listed colour as another identifier. If those are the details you’re shopping by, this product page gives you a concise way to identify the Ilford paper you mean. It’s a practical, specific listing rather than a promise about results.
