Ilford MGFB5K Classic 142cmx30m Ei 1R | Photo paper in a long format

When a print job calls for a broad, continuous length of photo paper, this Ilford roll gives you 142cm across and 30m to work with. It’s the MGFB5K Classic, identified as Ei 1R, and its listed colour is black. That makes the key buying details easy to check: the paper’s name, the roll dimensions and its colour. This format suits a workflow where you want to work from a long length rather than choose individual sheets. The width is substantial, so it’s worth thinking about how you’ll handle and use the paper before starting a job. The honest point is that the product name and dimensions tell you more here than any broad promise could: this is a specific Ilford photo paper format, not a general-purpose paper description.

Choosing this format

Start with the finished print size and the space you have for handling a 142cm-wide length. The 30m measurement gives you a clear sense of the amount of paper in the roll, so you can judge whether this format suits the work you have planned. If you’re preparing several prints, thinking through the required lengths beforehand can help you make better use of the roll. Keep the product designation to hand when comparing options: MGFB5K Classic and Ei 1R identify this particular version. The colour is listed as black, another detail to consider when matching the paper to your intended job. These are practical checks, not claims about results; the right fit depends on the dimensions and designation your work calls for.
