Ilford MGFB5K Classic 17.8x24cm 100V.

Ilford MGFB5K Classic 17.8x24cm 100V | A defined photo-paper format

When you want your prints to follow a particular size, the 17.8 x 24 cm format gives you a clear measurement to work with. The Ilford MGFB5K Classic is photo paper, suited to photographers choosing paper by its stated dimensions and product name rather than looking for an unspecified format. It may fit neatly into a printing routine you’ve already planned around that size; the practical question is whether those measurements suit the images you want to make. I’d start there, especially if you’re arranging a set of prints or working to a fixed space. The name also includes “100V”, but I won’t guess what that refers to. This is a straightforward option to consider when the format and the exact Ilford paper name match what you’re looking for.

Choosing the format

Before adding photo paper to your workflow, it helps to decide what size you actually need. The listed dimensions are 17.8 x 24 cm, so compare those measurements with the print area you have in mind rather than relying on a vague sense of “small” or “large”. If you’re choosing paper for a particular project, note the format alongside the image dimensions you plan to print. That makes it easier to see whether this is the right size for the job before you settle on a paper. The product is identified as Ilford MGFB5K Classic, which gives you the full name to use when matching it to your own notes or shopping list. There’s no need to infer more from the title: the useful details here are the named paper and its stated size.
