Ilford MGT.1M 12.7 X 17.8cm 100 Vel

Ilford MGT.1M 12.7 X 17.8cm 100 Vel | Photo paper in a handy print size

The defining choice is the 12.7 × 17.8 cm sheet: it gives you a specific print size to plan around, rather than a roll or an unspecified format. Ilford MGT.1M is photo paper for photographers who want to make physical prints at that size. With 100 sheets in the pack, there’s room for a batch of prints, or for making a selection and choosing the ones you’d like to keep. It’s a straightforward option when the paper dimensions and quantity match your plans. The honest trade-off is that the fixed sheet size won’t suit every print layout; it makes most sense when you want prints at this particular scale. The supplier lists the colour as black. For a photo-paper purchase, that’s a detail to keep in mind alongside the dimensions and the 100-sheet quantity.

If you’re planning a set of prints, the pack quantity gives you a clear starting point: up to 100 sheets to work with. You can use the same paper size across that batch, which keeps the format consistent from print to print. The listed dimensions are 12.7 × 17.8 cm, so compare your intended print size with those measurements before settling on this pack. Ilford MGT.1M suits a print plan built around that exact sheet size; it’s less appropriate when you need a different paper dimension. There’s no need to buy more paper than the run calls for, but having 100 sheets can be practical when you expect to make several prints. Keep the decision simple: this product is defined by its Ilford name, its stated sheet dimensions and its pack of 100.
