Ilford Prestige Metallic Gloss 260 GPMG 61x30MTR

Ilford Prestige Metallic Gloss 260 GPMG 61x30MTR | Metallic gloss in a long roll

Ilford Prestige Metallic Gloss 260 GPMG 61x30MTR is a metallic-gloss photo paper in a 61 × 30 m roll; “260 GPMG” is part of its product name. It’s for photographers and print studios choosing paper by its surface and roll format, especially when they want a metallic gloss finish for their photo prints. The roll length makes it suited to print workflows that use paper by the metre rather than individual sheets. The key decision is the finish: if metallic gloss is the look you’re after, that’s the defining detail of this Ilford paper. The stated width and length are also useful when planning how it will fit into your print workflow. One practical point: a long roll is only helpful if your printer setup can handle roll paper in the required width.

Planning your print workflow

Before choosing a roll, compare its format with the way you make prints. Check that your intended printer accepts roll-fed paper and can accommodate the stated width. It’s also worth considering how you’ll handle and store a roll, and whether its length makes sense for the volume of printing you expect to do. Those checks are about matching the format to your setup; they don’t change the paper’s main appeal, which is its metallic gloss surface. If you’re deciding between paper finishes, start with the look you want in the finished print, then consider whether a roll is a practical way to supply your workflow. The product name gives you the finish and roll dimensions to use in that decision.
