Ilford Textured Cotton Rag 310GSM 60" 152.4cmx15m 1ROLL

Ilford Textured Cotton Rag 310gsm 60-inch Roll | A tactile surface for wide-format photo prints

For wide-format photo prints with a textured surface, this Ilford roll gives you room to work at substantial sizes. Ilford Textured Cotton Rag is a 310gsm photo paper supplied as a 60-inch (152.4cm) wide, 15m roll. It suits photographers and printmakers who want cotton rag paper in roll form, especially when their finished work needs more width than a standard sheet can offer. The paper’s defining character is right there in its name: a textured surface rather than a smooth one. That makes it a considered option for images where the feel of the paper is part of the finished print. The honest point is that the title gives no printing-process details, so I’d choose it for the stated paper type, surface and size—not on assumptions about a particular printer or ink.

Planning prints from a roll

Roll paper gives you scope to plan a print around its finished dimensions instead of starting with a fixed sheet size. Before producing a final copy, decide how the image should sit within the paper: the crop, orientation and amount of visible border all affect how the print reads. Texture is also worth considering alongside the image itself. A detailed photograph and a simple composition can each feel different on a textured surface, so a small test print can help you judge the result in person before committing to a larger piece. These are practical decisions rather than special settings; the key is to treat the paper’s surface and the image as parts of the same print.
