Indipro Hot Shoe To 1/4"-20 Male Post Adapter
Indipro Hot Shoe To 1/4"-20 Male Post Adapter | Connect a hot shoe to tripod support
Give a hot-shoe accessory a way to mount on a tripod support, rather than needing to hold it separately. The Indipro Hot Shoe To 1/4"-20 Male Post Adapter is a small connector for setups where the accessory’s hot-shoe fitting and the support’s threaded socket need to meet. It suits photographers and videographers putting together a simple mounting arrangement with a tripod accessory. The adapter’s job is specific: provide a hot-shoe connection at one end and a 1/4"-20 male post at the other. That makes it useful when you want to position a compatible accessory on a support with a matching socket. It doesn’t replace the support itself, and the post needs the right threaded socket to attach. If your setup needs that particular connection, this adapter offers a direct way to join the two mounting points.
Specialist Note
1/4"-20 is the thread size on the male post, so in practice you’ll need a support with a matching socket to mount this adapter. I’d consider it for placing a hot-shoe accessory on a tripod accessory, for example when you want that item held on the support instead of in your hand. Seat the accessory in the hot shoe, then attach the post to the matching threaded socket. The useful thing here is the combination of those two specific mounting points; it gives you a straightforward connection without adding a more complicated setup. It’s a focused adapter, though, not a substitute for a support or a fix for a mismatched thread.
