JJC CP-AT1 Arca Swiss Quick Release Plate w/ Airtag Slot | Keep a tracker with your tripod plate

The built-in AirTag slot is what sets this tripod plate apart: it gives you a place for a tracker right on the plate, instead of having to keep it separately in your camera bag. It suits photographers who use an Arca-Swiss quick-release setup and want their tripod plate to have that extra role, too. The CP-AT1 is best for a tripod kit that travels between locations or gets packed away with other gear, where keeping track of the plate is useful. Its quick-release design is intended for use with an Arca-Swiss setup, while the slot is made for an AirTag. That makes the plate relevant both when you’re setting up a camera on a tripod and when you’re keeping tabs on the small pieces of your kit. It’s a focused accessory rather than a general-purpose tracking solution: the AirTag slot is built into the plate, so its tracking role stays tied to this part of your tripod setup.

Specialist Note

One AirTag slot gives you a dedicated place for a tracker, which is handy if your tripod plate tends to travel in a packed camera bag or between setups. I’d fit the AirTag in the slot and keep the CP-AT1 with the tripod gear you want to locate, rather than treating the tracker as something to stash loose in a pocket. The Arca-Swiss quick-release format is the other practical detail: it’s for photographers already using that style of tripod setup, so the plate can serve as the link between camera and support. It’s a tidy, specific solution; it won’t replace tracking for the rest of your kit.
