Kaiser KAIS.10162 U.V.FILTER E62
Kaiser KAIS.10162 U.V.FILTER E62 | UV filtration for a matching lens
Choosing a filter can be frustrating when the fitting is unclear or the filter’s purpose doesn’t match what you need. The Kaiser KAIS.10162 is a UV filter with an E62 designation, for photographers seeking this specific type of filtration. Its job is focused: it’s intended to filter ultraviolet light, rather than serve as a general-purpose effect filter. The designation matters when selecting it; match it to a lens carrying the same filter-thread marking, rather than assuming it will fit a lens because of its brand or camera. That makes it relevant to photographers who already know they want a UV filter and have a lens with the corresponding fitting. It can be considered for outdoor subjects such as landscapes or buildings, where UV filtration is the purpose you’re after. If your priority is a different filter effect, this isn’t the one to choose. Keep the decision simple: identify the lens fitting, then decide whether UV filtration suits the way you want to work.
Specialist Note
Its usefulness has a clear limit: the E62 designation needs to match the lens’s filter-thread marking. If it does, this Kaiser is a straightforward option for someone who specifically wants a UV filter, rather than a filter for another effect. I’d look at it for outdoor landscape or architecture photography when UV filtration is the aim; first match the fitting, then use it for those scenes. The product name tells you both the filter type and its E62 designation, so there’s no need to guess what category you’re choosing. If you’re after a different kind of filtration, I’d steer you toward that instead.
